Suspended YSRCP MLA Gets Conditional Bail In Ex Driver’s Murder Case

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Anantha Babu got conditional bail in his ex driver’s murder case.

After failing to get bail from the Rajahmundry Court and the Andhra Pradesh High Court (HC,) the suspended YSRCP MLA filed petition in the Supreme Court.  On the 12th of December, Monday, the Supreme Court granted the bail with condition which would be set by the trial court.

It is to be noted, in the month of May this year, MLC Anantha Babu’s driver Subrahmanyam’s murder created a stir in Andhra Pradesh.  After collecting all the evidence, a case of murder, the Scheduled Caste (SC,) the Scheduled Tribe (ST) atrocity was registered.

The MLC was arrested by the police and sent to remand and has been in remand since May 20222.

In addition, the ruling YSRCP even suspended Mr. Anantha Babu.  Notably, Mr. Anantha Babu would get bail after 6 months of remand with the State Police.
